?The Little Theatre and WXXI celebrate the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival with free ?A Little Taste of Jazz? sessions thru June 30 at the Little Theatre Caf?, 240 East Avenue.? Coming up are concerts by WAKOS, a.k.a. Wise and Kind Old Souls on Thursday, June 28; Annie Wells on Friday, June 29; and The Jane Mutiny on Saturday, June 30.? (585-232-4699)

?After the Jazz Festival each night, Abilene Bar & Lounge, an official XRIJF Club Pass venue at 153 Liberty Pole Way, is offering late night sessions featuring some of Rochester?s leading musicians; and musicians from the Festival starting around 11:15 p.m.? Still to come, Grand Canyon Rescue Episode on June 27; The Ruckus Juice Jug Band on June 28; Herb Heins and his Pro-Am Jam Band on June 29; and Sarah Rush & Silvernail on June 30.? ?A fundraiser for The Space, Rochester?s downtown venue for the performing arts, is planned on July 1 at Irondequoit Creek in Ellison Park.? The event includes ?The Great Space Duck Race,? a concert by Chris Wilson, a craft show, and a potluck picnic sponsored by the Search Engine Improv Harold Teams.? (www.thespacerochester.com)

?On July 1, Noncerts Rochester will host a benefit show to support Music Programs in Rochester City Elementary Schools at Good Luck Restaurant, 50 Anderson Ave.? ?The Indie Music Channel?s 2012 Revolution Tour stops in Rochester with events planned on July 6, 7 & 8.? Two nights of music are scheduled for July 6 & 7 at Water Street Music Hall, 204 N. Water St. (See our Coming to Town section for details).? On July 7 at 10 a.m., the Hang On To The Dream competition at Marketplace Mall offers kids 17 and under the opportunity to compete for prizes that include studio time at GFI and a chance to perform at Water Street.? And, on July 8, a noon ?Indie Music Mob? event will be held at Boulder Coffee, 100 Alexander St. ? with singles and bands invited to participate. ?We?ll all be Remembering Ralph on July 7th at the Main Stage of the Corn Hill Arts Festival.? That?s when The Campbell Brothers and Prime Time Funk play in this year?s event honoring Ralph Ortiz who died in 2009 from cancer.? The Rochester teacher, bassist, and Prime Time Funk co-founder is greatly missed by the music community.? ?A ?Songwriters in the Round? session is planned for July 7 at Tango Caf?, 389 Gregory Street, featuring Greg Walker with Brian Coughlin and Kinloch Nelson.? Greg, of Duke Jupiter fame, now lives in Texas, so this is a rare chance to see him here locally.? (585-271-4930)

?A new version of Craig S. Snyder?s Fusion Quartet is making its debut featuring Snyder on guitar, Steve Copland on keys, Bernie Heveron on bass and Aaron Hughes on drums.? Snyder is also a member of Tenth World Orchestra along with bassist Dick Pera and drummer Paul Hammerick.? Both acts perform on July 11 at Lovin? Cup, 300 Park Point Drive.? (www.craigsnyder.net)

?The JJ Lang Band will have a lot to celebrate on June 29th at Pineapple Jack?s, 485 Spencerport Rd.? The group is opening for former Motley Crue singer John Corabi along with Power Down.? ?The Center Caf? at the Italian American Community Center, 150 Frank DiMIno Way, will host its Italian American Karaoke Idol Finale on June 30, with a special appearance by Carmela from the infamous Calamari Sisters and local singer, Josh Shapiro.? ?The House of Guitars at 645 Titus Avenue is hosting two upcoming concerts.?
